Tim has photographed 16 theatrical feature documentaries, and numerous feature documentaries for Netflix, HBO, BBC, and Amazon. He joined the film industry in 1989 starting out first as an editor, after a few years he moved over to the camera department and by 1993 was Dping. He has two feature documentaries ranked in the Top 50 highest earnings at the USA Box Office. He was awarded a BAFTA for cinematography and has been nominated for three BAFTA's and four EMMY's for cinematography. He won Best Cinematography for the theatrical feature The Great Green Wall in 2020 at Raindance Film Festival and was nominated for a BAFTA for Netflix series Fear City in 2021 and also nominated for an EMMY for Serengeti Rules in 2020.
